E6450 - Principles of Education and Classroom Management3 credit hour(s) This course provides students with a comprehensive framework for understanding the core concepts, principles, and underlying assumptions of the field of educational psychology and the educator’s role in academic achievement. The course is designed to promote knowledge and skills related to: learning, pedagogy, differentiated instruction, curriculum design, lesson plan development, and interventions/programs that enhance student’s academic development. Special emphasis will be given to classroom management strategies and creating an environment conducive to learning. Field experience is required.
