IST283 - Project Management I: Introduction to Project Management

3 credit hour(s)
This first course in the project management concentration introduces students to the world of projects and to projects’ real life dynamics and challenges. The course offers a practical approach to managing projects, focusing on organizing, planning, and controlling the project. Students review the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide, and the nine Project Management Knowledge Areas and become familiar with the Major Project Documents and Process Flow Diagrams. Students apply the tools, skills, and resources necessary to manage projects successfully in today’s competitive business environment.
