B6608 - International Standards, Regulation, and Compliance3 credit hour(s) This graduate course provides the advanced graduate student with an opportunity to explore the standards, standard setting practices, regulations, and compliance issues with the most important international organizations and agreements. The course provides an in-depth review and analysis of the latest theories and research on international standards, regulation, and compliance. Research is done to discover the processes, regulations, compliance standards that impact inter-national business. Attention is given to issues of violation, defense, conflict resolution options, and resolution. Special attention is given to how international corporations are organized and function internally and as part of the globalization process. The topic must be researched from a multidisciplinary, theoretical, research study, and practical implemental perspective. Communication projects will focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making based on relevant research, information literacy, applied technology, integration, ethical and diversity concerns.
