BIO400 - Biochemistry3 credit hour(s) This course is directed to students of medical technology and studies the structure and function of proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and fats. The chemistry of these compounds is explored in detail. Metabolic pathways yielding energy and their regulation processes are addressed. Enzyme kinetics, toxicology, endocrinology, tumor markers, and gene function are presented. Laboratory will include advanced chemistry analyses.
