CJA340 - Adult Corrections3 credit hour(s) This course is designed to promote critical thinking; expanding on the knowledge attained in CJA140 - Introduction to Corrections . The focus of this course relates to the plethora of issues, policies, procedures, and programs that is unique to adult correctional facilities including management and supervision of correctional staff and inmates, federal versus state detention, probation and parole, special needs inmates, gangs in prison, inmate and correctional staff stress, correctional law and Supreme Court decision and inmate subculture.
