PP6550 - Introduction to Addiction Studies

2 credit hour(s)
This course examines critical aspects of addiction and chemical dependency including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. The etiology of alcoholism and drug dependency is carefully reviewed, as are the physiological and psychological effects of chemical dependency in diverse populations, the continuum of care, the process of change, and the ethics of addiction treatment.
