PC6104 - Counseling Skills I

This course is designed to help students develop an understanding of the philosophic bases of the helping processes and the utilization of basic counseling skills with a diverse population through experiential activities; including active listening, attending, building rapport, and demonstrating empathy, etc. Students explore their own personal growth and the role this plays in the therapeutic relationship.
