PP6612 - Attachment Theory

This course will look at attachment and play through the work of Donald Winnicott. Close reading of Winnicott’s papers explores dialectical meaning-making in infancy, good objects being found in order to be created, true self and false compliance, the capacity to be alone, the meaning and power of play, the world of transitional phenomena, hate in the countertransference, the antisocial tendency, and the aims of psychotherapy.
