The updates listed below apply to the 2017-2018 Argosy University Academic Catalog – Undergraduate Programs, Volume 8, Issue 1. The additions below were added or modified to reflect current information. Each entry below describes where the new information was inserted.

All Education Management Corporation (EDMC) catalog references shall be replaced by Dream Center Education Holdings (DCEH), effective October 17, 2017.


The following updates apply to Section One, Introduction, Ownership  

  • Effective October 17, 2017, Argosy University changed ownership to Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC.

Ownership Statement (Beginning on October 17, 2017)

Argosy University is owned by Argosy Education Group, LLC, which through various intermediary companies is a subsidiary of Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC. Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC is located at 1400 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222.


The following updates apply to Section One, Introduction, State Licensing  

  • Argosy University, Twin Cities is registered with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statues sections 136A.60 to 136.71. Registration is not an endorsement of the institution. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.
     
  • The postal address of the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education is now 1740 West Adams Street, Suite 3008, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The previous address is 1400 West Washington Street, Room 260, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
     
  • degreeauthorization@wsac.wa.gov has been added to the Washington student achievement council contact information in the State Licensing section. In full context:

For Argosy University, Chicago:

During the Fall 2016 Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) reporting period, the cohort of full-time, first-time degree/certificate seeking undergraduate students report the following information:  19 enrolled, 1 graduated for a graduation rate of 5%.

For Argosy University, Schaumburg:

During the Fall 2016 Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) reporting period, the cohort of full-time, first-time degree/certificate seeking undergraduate students report the following information:  6 enrolled, 1 graduated for a graduation rate of 17%.

Arizona

The following updates apply to Section Ten, College of Health Sciences: Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting Degree Program  

Updated information on 5/23/18: The Medical Assisting program at Argosy University, Eagan, MN has a job placement rate average of 92.8%, based on a five-year average covering the years of the 2012-2016 admission cohorts. This is based on the most recent Annual Report Form reported to Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Updated information on 3/19/18: The Medical Assisting program at Argosy University, Eagan, MN has a job placement rate average of 92.8%, based on the most recent Annual Report Form submitted to the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Prior information: The Medical Assisting program at Argosy University, Eagan, MN has a job placement rate average of 88.9%, based on the most recent Annual Report Form submitted to the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).


The following updates apply to Section Eleven, College of Arts and Sciences: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Degree Program  

  •  Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Degree Program Graduation Requirements Section  
    • 42 credit hours, general education curriculum requirements (note below added 4/4/18)
      General education curriculum requirements at Argosy University, Sarasota and Argosy University, Tampa are 45 credit hours. To satisfy these requirements, students choose an additional general education elective. Open electives requirements are 8 courses or 24 credit hours. The total credit hours required to complete the program remains the same at 120 credit hours.
       
    • 27 credit hours, open elective requirements (note below added 4/4/18)
      Open electives requirements are 24 credit hours at Argosy University, Sarasota and Argosy University, Tampa.

The following updates apply to Appendix I, Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, and Administration  

  • Effective October 17, 2017, the Dream Center Education Holdings Board of Managers replaces the Education Management Corporation Board of Directors.
