The updates listed below apply to the 2017-2018 Argosy University Academic Catalog – Graduate Programs, Volume 8, Issue 1. The additions below were added or modified to reflect current information. Each entry below describes where the new information was inserted.

All Education Management Corporation (EDMC) catalog references shall be replaced by Dream Center Education Holdings (DCEH), effective October 17, 2017.


The following updates apply to Section One, Introduction, Ownership  

  • Effective October 17, 2017, Argosy University changed ownership to Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC.

Ownership Statement (Beginning on October 17, 2017)

Argosy University is owned by Argosy Education Group, LLC, which through various intermediary companies is a subsidiary of Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC. Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC is located at 1400 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222.


The following updates apply to Section One, Introduction, Accreditation and State Licensing  

  • Argosy University, Twin Cities is registered with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statues sections 136A.60 to 136.71. Registration is not an endorsement of the institution. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.
     
  • The postal address of the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education is now 1740 West Adams Street, Suite 3008, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The previous address is 1400 West Washington Street, Room 260, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
     
  • degreeauthorization@wsac.wa.gov has been added to the Washington student achievement council contact information in the State Licensing section. In full context:

The following updates apply to Section Four, Student Rights and Responsibilities, Student Complaint Procedure  

Arizona
  • The postal address of the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education is now 1740 West Adams Street, Suite 3008, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The previous address is 1400 West Washington Street, Room 260, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
Illinois
  • If a complaint cannot be resolved after exhausting the institution’s complaint procedure, the student may file a complaint with the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE), 1 North Old State Capitol Plaza, Suite 333, Springfield, Illinois 62701-1377, 217.557.7359, http://complaints.ibhe.org.

The Scholarship section has been updated to show information beginning 8/23/18.


The following updates apply to Section Seven, Academic Policies and Procedures: Course/Credit Transfer  

  • The Washington policy below was added to the Notice Concerning Transferability of Credits and Credentials Earned section in Academic Policies and Procedures:

Argosy University, Seattle

The transferability of credits earned at Argosy University, Seattle is at the discretion of the receiving college, university, or other educational institution. Students considering transferring to any institution should not assume that credits earned in any program of study at Argosy University, Seattle will be accepted by the receiving institution. Similarly, the ability of a degree, certificate, diploma, or other academic credential earned at Argosy University, Seattle to satisfy an admission requirement of another institution is at the discretion of the receiving institution. Accreditation does not guarantee credentials or credits earned at Argosy University, Seattle will be accepted by or transferred to another institution. To minimize the risk of having to repeat coursework, students should contact the receiving institution in advance for evaluation and determination of transferability of credits and/or acceptability of degrees, diplomas, or certificates earned.


The following updates apply to Section Ten, College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences: Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Degree Program  

  • Offering Campuses: Argosy University, *San Francisco Bay Area

*Note: Effective March 16, 2018, the Argosy University San Francisco Bay Area campus is no longer accepting new students in this program.


The following updates apply to Section Ten, College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences: Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology Degree Program

The note below has been removed:

The following updates apply to Section Ten, College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences: Master of Arts in School Counseling Degree Program  

  • Effective January 4, 2018, the Master of Arts in School Counseling Degree Program has been transferred from the College of Education to the College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences

The following updates apply to Section Eleven, College of Education: Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Degree Program  

  • Effective February 2, 2018, the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Degree Program is offered at Phoenix*.

Note: *Offered only in the 80 percent online format through Argosy University Online Programs.


The following updates apply to Section Eleven, College of Education: Master of Arts in Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education Degree Program  

  • Effective February 2, 2018, the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Degree Program is offered at Phoenix*.

Note: *Offered only in the 80 percent online format through Argosy University Online Programs.

  • Effective October 17, 2017, the Dream Center Education Holdings Board of Managers replaces the Education Management Corporation Board of Directors.
